X-Factor producer and world famous talent scout Simon Cowell, believes that the popular demand for Rene and his song ‘young homie‘ , even before public voting for “The X Factor” U.S contestants has begun, indicates that Rene’s original and unqiue song ‘young homie’ will be an instant hit when it is released; even if Chris Rene does’nt win the show, he has also already been claimed the unofficial winner due to his overnight sucess.
The very long anticipated wait for the winner of “The X Factor” U.S. won’t be named until December 22, 2011 (when Fox televises the Season 1 finale), but as far as “The X Factor” executive producer and talent mogul Simon Cowell is concerned, 28-year-old Chris Rene is already the show’s unofficial winner becoming literally and overnight sucess.
As previously reported, Rene’s “X Factor” audition video has become a YouTube sensation, stacking up 5.2 millionviews within the first two weeks that it was posted on YouTube. In his audition, Rene performed an original song that he wrote titled “Young Homie.” Cowell believes this popular demand for Rene, even before viewer voting for “The X Factor” U.S. has begun, indicates that Rene’s post-”X Factor” music will be an instant hit when it is released. Even if Rene does not win on the show, he is very likely to outsell the winner.
In an interview with the Huffington Post, Cowell and fellow “X Factor” U.S. judge L.A. Reid sat down to talk about the show and Mr Chris Rene, Cowell made this bold statement about Rene:
“I think Chris Rene is the most important contestant we had on the show this year, because you normally don’t see somebody like that. They would normally stay clear of a talent competition. And I think the fact that he got such a good reaction, not just from the judges, but what’s happened to his [audition] clip on YouTube, he really has become a star in his own right already. [It] really pointed out the difference between this show and other shows. That’s exactly the kind of contestant I want. At the same time, if we find a country star, if we find an R&B star, if we find any kind of star, I want them. I want them all — as many stars as possible.”
Chris Rene’s YouTube popularity may remind people of what happened with “Britain’s Got Talent” 2009 second-place finalist Susan Boyle, whose audition video became a YouTube sensation, and she went on to outsell all other “Got Talent” singers around the world. Boyle is signed to Cowell’s Syco Music label, which is distributed and partially owned by Sony Music.
The grand prize of “The X Factor” U.S. consists of $5 million and a record deal with Syco Music/Sony Music. Regardless if Chris Rene wins on “The X Factor” or not, it is obvious that Cowell is going to sign Chris Rene to his record company.

I totally agree with what Simon said, From all the acts that I have watched, Chris Rene is by far the one that stood out the most from everyone else. Lets just hope he stays clean and sober for the rest of the show.
